Merlot 50%, Corvina Veronese and Corvinone 50%
Merlot grapes are carefully hand cropped in late September when they have reached maximum ripeness. Corvina and Corvinone are harvested by hand after having been left on the plant for absolute maturation until the second half of October.
Separate vinification occurs in innox steel tanks at a controlled temperature with stages of cold maceration and fermentation at low temperatures (max 26°C). When the alcoholic fermentation has terminated, the blending of the grapes occurs, which then remain in stainless steel tanks for a few months before being places in French oak tonneaux in order to complete their evolution.
Maturation in French oak tonneaux for the first and second pasage for 36 months and in the bottle for an additional 8 months.
Red with purple reflexes, nose of sweet ripe fruits, raspberry and blackcurrant with hints of spice. Enters the palate intensely warm and enveloping with soft tannins, a lingering finish reminiscent of tobacco and licorice.
