Squarano Estate, San Floriano

Grape variety

Corvina 40%, Corvinone 40%, Rondinella 20%

Harvest

Wine harvest is done by careful hand selection when the grapes are mature around end of September/half October. The pergola vines are 25-30 years old, the Guyot ones with 2500 plants per ha on the other hand are 8 - 10 years old.

Vinification

Vinification occurs separately with cold maceration.

Ageing

Refinement takes place for 8 - 10 months in French barriques followed by a minimum of 3 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red with violet reflexes, pronounced and characteristic bouquet of mature red fruits with a slightly spicy note. A wine of great structure and elegance.
